Why Home Birth?

Low-risk families who experience home birth are more likely to have fewer unnecessary interventions, move freely through labor, and remain surrounded by familiar comfort and support. In this environment, the body is able to work as it was designed—undisturbed, respected, and trusted.

Birth

is the sacred intersection between
mind, body, and spirit.

What is a Midwife?

A midwife is a trained healthcare provider who specializes in caring for people during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. They are experts in normal, low-risk pregnancy and physiologic birth, offering both medical knowledge and holistic support.

Midwives provide prenatal care, monitor the health of both parent and baby, attend births, and continue care after delivery. They are equipped to recognize when everything is progressing normally—and just as importantly, when something needs additional medical attention or transfer of care.

Testimonials

"Throughout my prenatal care, she encouraged me to believe in my intuition and ... truly guided me into embodying my power as a queer birthing person."

Having Liz’s care throughout my pregnancy and postpartum was so empowering and securing. I still carry that power with me as a parent. Her intensive knowledge and preparedness definitely made me feel safe in my home birth. She made herself as available as she could and I felt like my midwife was always a call away. It was nice to know I or my partner could reach out about any concerns or questions. A real gem of hers is that Liz offers wisdom and a soft strength in challenging moments. Throughout my prenatal care, she encouraged me to believe in my intuition and to nurture my relationship with my body. It truly guided me into embodying my power as a queer birthing person. I will always be grateful for her and her practice. -Pumpkin (Charice)
